Mini Cooper Countryman S
This new model Mini Cooper offers a 4 yr. or 50,000 mile warranty
Wagon
Transmission: 6-speed manual opt.
Seating: 5
Drive-train: AWD
It's not the sportiest car featured on this blog but it is a decent family car. It's cheap starting around 23,000 dollars. Fuel efficient and fun this car should be.
Not a big engine with an inline-4 with a surprising 208hp but with its AWD it won't disappoint.
You can take this anywhere and fit a lot in it making it efficient and practical.
This the roadster and the coupe are the only mini coopers I would suggest or think of buying in my opinion.

Car decals
Car decals. Don't do them
Don't put pictures, marks, stripes, or pictures on your car
You can have stripes if you're a muscle car or something of that sort.
If you're a civic please don't have stripes. Don't recreate fast and furious looks on crappy cars (Brian's r34 skyline)
Flames are a big no no. Flames are ugly on every car. Maybe just maybe if you're a real legit drag racer with 1000+hp not the lancers with ugly colors.
Don't put any stickers on your car unless it's a jdm, performance company, or a sponsor
Bumper stickers are just cliché and hideous.
Decals(tattoos) on your car are pathetic and very ricer. Don't do them.
Let the decals stay in 1999 not 2015

Why was the Volkswagen Beetle an icon?
In the 20th century the VW bug was an iconic car. It was cheap, light, and affordable. You could take it on the beach or up in the mountains
You could do virtually everything with this car.
It had enough space in the front(trunk) for storage and you could usually got at least 4 people.
Getting 25(MPG) that's as good as most sports cars today.
Having a 1.5L 1493cc engine pushing 53bhp and 73 lb-feet of torque with a top speed of 82 mph so really not the fastest of cars.
But they sold and boy did they sell.
Selling many cars all over the world. These cars are still very popular in many countries
Having a rwd chassis you could do so much to these cars
In fact most kit cars are based of their chassis. Will I Ams car company "iamauto" is based of the VW chassis as well. People all over the world modified these cars.
These cars are everywhere. Next time you go on vacation to a foreign land look out for these beauties
These were stylish(at the time) and were very popular.
Since the late 90s VW has ruined the bug. Having a fwd girly version and now with their newer body style still fwd. I beg for a new rwd chassis for their next model cause these latest models have been anything but iconic. VW has absolutely messed up their previous best seller. But VW owning Bentley, Audi, Lamborghini, Bugatti, and more it won't focus so much on their previous 1900s icon.
Range Rover Evoque
The Range Rover Evoque. Easily my favorite looking Range Rover of all time. This this is small compact and neat. Cleanest looking of any rover's ever created.
This 2012 Evoque has a 2.0L 4 cylinder turbo engine pushing 240hp.
It's not the fastest of the Land Rover brand nor is it the sportiest
0-60: 7.3 seconds
1/4 mile: 16.5 seconds
Is it practical?
Towing: 3,500lb
AWD
6 speed automatic
Fuel economy: 18 city and 28 highway
The Evoque still keeps its name in off-road as BBCs Top Gear has tested in the Nevada desert mountains.

Drifting?
Drifting is reckless. Drifting is pointless. But overall drifting is fun.
To draft you need skill, car handling, and precision. Losing traction spinning your rear wheels out without grip.
Lowered car. Slight camber. Manual transmission.
With automatics you can't really get the revs up when try to slip out
You need the clutch to drift
Some may argue that automatics can do just as much but really you need a manual transmission.
Manual, rwd, preferably a coupe(really doesn't matter if it's not a coupe)
People drift in hatchbacks and station wagons.
Find an vacant lot. Clutch in. Release clutch. Spin the wheel.
Tire smoke will show up as seen in the pictures. Tire smoking and leaving marks. If you drift on your property the marks will be hard to take off.
Drifting is hard to get good at. You have to master clutch control and hand movements.
You can drift with clutch. Turning hard enough. Or the e-brake.
Best brands for drifting?
Usually the Japanese ones
Mazda, Nissan, Toyota
American
Chevy and Ford (partially: Dodge)
European
Volvo(wagons) And Bmw
Mazda has the miata, rx-7, and rx-8
Nissan has the 180sx,240sx,the Z series and the skylines
Toyota has the supra, Cressida, and 70s corollas
Chevy with the Camaro and corvettes
But ford is way more popular for drifting with their mustang. Dodge has the charger and challenger but aren't as popular for drifting.
Volvo wagons are popular for drifting and so are bmw 1,3, and 5 series
Mercedes are mostly rwd but they are to heavy and too luxurious for drifting.
The Koreans have the genesis coupe that isn't really popular for drifting but I assume that it will be very popular in the drifting world.
Drifting is illegal so watch out for the 5-0.
Fiat 500 Abarth
The new Fiat 500 Abarth is a sporty cheap(ish) fun car to drive. Starting at $22,395 it isn't the most expensive ride. But being a small coupe it might not be the best option for people who need more room. It is in fact easy to get into and very easy to park and maneuver. Having manual and automatic and normal top or convertible. Having a inline 4 with multi-air turbo engine hooked up to a 5 speed transmission; it pushes 160hp and 170lb-feet of torque. This fwd toy has a top speed of 129mph. Going 0-60 in 6.9 seconds so not the fastest of cars. But it is an efficient car with 28(MPG) city and 34(MPG) highway.
If you're looking for a fun easy light car I would recommend this kinky little car

The Legendary Sports Sedan. It's gone.
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo is coming to an end. With its last year being 2015. The Lancer Evolution was and is a legendary sports rally sedan. It's been going on for generations and the last gen being its 10th. Everyone will miss the Evo except of course the Subie(Subaru) lovers.
The 2015 EVO is an inline 4 turbo as its previous Evo models. Going 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 162mph. This 2008-2015 model pushes 291hp and 300lb-feet of torque. From 1973-2015 the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution will be missed.

Why the FR-S is the best mod car!
The Scion FR-S is has almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution and is absolutely stunning around the track. That being said it is one of the slowest sports cars of this generation.
With this people want to upgrade. Yes even with the upgrades they still aren't as fast. But being a cheap RWD sports coupe people will engine swap them (ls1,2jz,etc.) and they will drift with them.
Which is why they are used so heavily in drifting today.
The cheap and easily replaced suspension is a good reason so lower the fr-s.
The trunk of the fr-s actually comes with a screw driver holder.
Toyota assumed people will mod the car and they did...heavily.
Over all it is a Toyota. It will last as most people now. You can drive it all the time and it could last years and years. It isn't the worst looking car either. It's actually a really good looking car.
This is why people mod the Scion FR-S

The new Lamborghini has a top speed of 202mph going 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds It has a 103.15in wheel base with an overall length of 175.55in. Heads Up Displays
Heads up displays or HUD displays a projected image on the windshield of a car or plane or boat. HUDs evolved from the reflector sight, a pre-World War II optical sight technology for military air-crafts. They started modernizing in the 70s still for planes only. Then GM started using them in the late 90s and early 2000s in their corvettes and ever since then they have been getting more and more developed. Now you can find them in most luxurious cars and some common cars. HUDs may project speed, rpms, navigation, and occasionally night vision. There are also motorcycle helmet HUD.
Pioneer launched a navigation HUD in 2012.
I suspect they will be used in almost every vehicle and keep evolving.

Truck culture:LIfted
Theautorant hasn't really talked about trucks at all. A big part of american truck culture is the lifting of trucks. Started out for farmers and ranchers to get around their property/land easier then it took off. Just lifting for the streets to give a dominant stance on the streets. Consisting of lifts from just a leveling kit to 24" lifts. Usually they have a grill guard and some external lights. Now a days the truck enthusiasts use LED bars. Either having fat off-road tires like seen here or thin street tires for street lifters.

2015 Lexus RC-F
The new 2015 Lexus RC-F s Lexus' new approach into the sport world with their second biggest coupe. They first had the LFA and had stopped production. Now they have the cheaper but just as fun RC-F. With its front mounted V8 pushing 467hp. Going 0-60 in 4.5 seconds it isn't really competing with new Bmws, Mercedes, and the new line of muscle cars whose 0-60 times are under 4 seconds. Top speed of the new coupe is 168mph.
There is no manual option on the RC-F but with Eight-speed Sports Direct Shift transmission.
With pricing at $63,325 I don't think that it will be able to compete with the new Bmw m division line up starting around that price and the new muscle from Ford, Dodge, and GM starting around $30,000

Slammed
Slammed cars are the latest thing in car culture. Negative camber creating less wheel on the ground cause more spin of the tires or better handling. But performance wise camber should barley be noticeable. Now a days starting in Japan camber to the max is what's new. On static(coil) suspension or air ride(bags) suspension. Making the car look lower and cleaner. The owner of this car IG:@k__tun
Convertible Dodge Challenger?
Why doesn't Dodge make their Challenger muscle car convertible? There are Camaro convertibles and Mustang convertibles but no Challenger. Or at least not from the factory. There are companies who do conversion kits like the one seen but Dodge should just create a convertible Challenger. I'm not a fan of most convertibles but I think that If Dodge make a Challenger convertible It would be the best looking muscle convertible.
Porsche 918
Porsche has launched their new hyper car the 918. It is a super hybrids with the electric engine pushing 129hp and 155lb-ft of torque and a normal gasoline motor pushing 608hp @8700rpm and 398lb-ft of toruq @6700rpm. A combined all around 887hp. The transmission is 7-speed dual-clutch automatic with manual shifting. Going 0-60mph on hybrid is astonishing 2.2 and with the electric alone is 6.7. Going 0-100mph on hybrid is 4.9(must use electric for 100mph)
With a top speed of 214mph when the limited gov. Is off.
And it's a gas saver with an EPA rating of 67 mpg becoming one of the most fuel efficient super cars ever made.

Mustang, Camaro, or Challenger
This debate has been going since the invention of the muscle car with the first gen mustang. GM then launched their muscle car the Camaro and then the rest followed. Charger is just out the question now being a self-sufficient sedan but also having some power there it is in another class. Previously Mustangs have always been superior in straight line speed which is what muscle cars are all about or well that's what they should be about. People now a days care a bit too much about handling and top speed and things of that nature. Muscle is about horsepower and torque. Not power to weight ratios and alignment. Camaro have always been a close second to the mustang being just as practical and as good looking. Challenger always lagging behind. I believe that it is because the heavy chassis of the challenger. But now with new models from Ford, GM, and Dodge there will be some changes in the muscle world. With the new 2015 707hp v8 from Dodge. The new Challengers and Chargers would be a joy to see up against the new 2015 Mustang and 2014 Camaro
Plastydip vs. wrap
Which is better some may say? Wrap my whole car one color or just to plastydip spray it? Wrap is usually a harder challenge and might be more expensive at time some may think. But plastydipping can be just as difficult and as costly. Costing around 500$ each for both of a midsize car. I would recommend wrap because it looks cleaner and protects your car
Widebody
wide body everything is just widebody now a day. I understand that it is better looking but is it better for performance? Wider hips means better angles for turning but how much speed is lost by the added on weight of the new wheels, axles, and whatever else is added on to the car. I'm not going to lie, it does look pretty great but is it really worth it? In the streets yes of course. Maybe it'll be a little bit harder to park but that's never stopped car enthusiasts before.
