Why you shouldn't buy a Jaguar F-Type
The F-Type is Jag's latest introduction into the high end sport car market.
There are 3 options you can choose from when buying.
Base

0-60: 5.1 seconds
Top speed: 161mph
MPG: 20/28
First Upgrade
Engine: 3.0L supercharged 380hp V6
0-60: 4.8 seconds
Top speed: 171mph
MPG: 19/27
Base V8
Engine: 5.0L supercharged 495hp V8
0-60: 4.2 seconds
Top speed: 186mph
MPG: 16/23
Top model
Engine: 5.0L supercharged 550hp V8
0-60: 4.0 seconds
Top speed: 186mph
MPG: 16/23
All of these are available in convertible except for the last highest model with the 550hp V8.
The base model starts at $69,000 and the highest at $92,000.
The Auto Opinion
Sure this car looks good and is a luxury car. But if you're trying to get this to be a sports car it is way off. This car is slow. It's a V8 coupe at basically $70,000 that goes 0-60 in only 4.0 seconds. That just isn't right. Unless you want this car for a Beverly
Hills cruiser then don't get this car for speed because there are many other options and most are cheaper for a convertible sports car. Such as the Camaro, mustang , or M3/4. If you're willing to spend a little over the $92,000 for the highest just get a GT-R. They're quick and reliable going 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and being AWD they're a much better car. Same story with the Audi R8 just around $110,000 but it's faster and better looking. In conclusion this car is only for the people who want a cruising car. Not for speed. Unless they are ignorant about all the other faster cars out there.
